“We had the world famous "Best breakfast in the world" which was a 10-course meal for over 2 hours and it was a treat for the palate for sure! I especially want to mention the excellent service by head waiter Juan-Pedro + his team who really took care of the guests and made sure they had a great & unique experience! The menu changes actually every year so it's worth checking out yearly! Thanks again & until next time!”

“We visited the Bodyna Spa at Hospes Maricel & Spa and had mixed feelings overall. The massage itself was very nice, and the heated indoor/outdoor pool was excellent. The dry sauna and steam room were also enjoyable. However, we were extremely disappointed that the outdoor terrace and outdoor massage areas were closed. We were told those spaces are only available during the summer season, which would have been understandable had that been made clear beforehand. Unfortunately, the website heavily markets the oceanfront/open-air spa experience — even describing the sound of waves and sea breezes as part of the massage experience — which was a major reason we chose this spa in the first place. For roughly $1,200 for four people for only a few hours, I expected the experience and marketing descriptions to align much more closely with reality. The jacuzzi was also quite small, comfortably fitting only about four people, so it can feel crowded if the spa is busy. Overall, the service and treatments themselves were good, but the experience did not fully deliver on what was advertised, especially considering the premium price.”

“Came to view as a wedding venue. 30 minutes after ordering drinks someone came to ask us to reorder. Bad start but shame as this put us off. First impressions are everything. The sales staff were all really nice. Hotel looked lovely but I didnt like the fact that other guests could be walking around your wedding. We had our wedding at Finca Morneta and it was amazing.”
