“We stayed for three nights in an Upbeat Retreat with pool view and plunge pool, on a half-board basis. The hotel is beautifully designed, peaceful and very well maintained, with attentive staff and an excellent arrival experience. The beach was one of the highlights, with calm, clear water and easy access to snorkelling. The restaurant was also a strong point: modern Cretan cuisine, refined presentation and good daily specials. Half-board worked well for a short stay, although the first evening’s reservation process was poorly handled, and €7.50 for still water felt excessive. Our room was spacious and stylish, but several details did not match the five-star positioning. The bathroom was impractical, the soundproofing could be improved, and the private plunge pool was too cold to be truly useful. The terrace also felt quite enclosed at ground-floor level. Overall, this is a luxurious and enjoyable hotel, particularly for couples looking for a quiet beach stay near Chania. However, at around €545 per night, some aspects should be more polished, especially room comfort, beach maintenance and access control. We would recommend it, although we would probably choose a different room category next time.”

“We had a 5-star experience at Domes Noruz for our honeymoon. The staff was so attentive and helpful from the very beginning. When we had a flight delay they were quick to respond and able to adjust our transportation to the hotel. When we arrived they had decorated our room with flowers, balloons, champagne, and dessert as well as a personal note from the manager and our travel advisor. The staff remained helpful throughout our entire stay and even helped us figure out what to ask for at the pharmacy when one of us got sick. Every single one of the staff members are extremely polite and kind, I’ve never stayed anywhere where I had a positive experience with every single person. The food was amazing, the breakfast buffet was huge and had so many delicious options and their restaurant was so good, I liked it more than some of our meals in Old Town. We had the best hummus of the trip there. The pools are beautiful and love that they have beachfront chairs as well. The music they play is very laid back; overall the vibe is very relaxing and serene, so if you are expecting a vibe where you mingle with the other guests and have entertainment with louder music during the daytime I would probably choose elsewhere. The rooms have a bit of an odd layout with the sink in the living room but we got used to it. Overall couldn’t have asked for a better experience here!”

“I wish we didn’t have to leave! Our room was amazing with the private pool. The curtain opened up if we wanted the view or we could close for privacy. The food was amazing. We went to the Topos restaurant for dinner and breakfast. We loved the hospitality the moment you walk in the door all the way through your departure. Thank you!”

“Best resort experience ever. Each single person of the staff is just lovely, the resulting service amazing, and the food itself deserves its own review, like a proper high-end restaurant. The location is incredible: completely hidden from the street, a brilliantly designed resort suddenly reveals itself, combining elegance, understated luxury, and respect for the beautiful surrounding nature. The setting is just perfect, in a quiet cove, with the sun setting right in front of you as you have dinner just steps away from the beach, in a really cozy, heartwarming outdoor garden. Live music in the evening is a lovely touch. A special thank you to Kostas for the warm welcome, and to Kostandina for elevating our meals with perfect recommendations and lovely care.”

“We visited the hotel for dinner at Raw Bar Restaurant. The stuff attending us were absolutely amazing. Special thanks to Effie for her great service and expertise in the dishes. The food was better than we could imagine with Peruvian and Japanese twists. Their signature cocktails were superb. The scenery alongside everything else (Service Food and drinks) made our visit to Domes Noruz memorable and we will definitely return and recommend it to our friends and family!”
