Hotel Croatia Cavtat

“★★★★☆ A beautiful hotel in a fantastic setting, surrounded by mature trees and greenery. The design is brutalist and stylish, and our superior room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. One of the highlights is the direct access to the sea, which is excellent for swimming, as well as the outdoor pool surrounded by trees. The hotel is also very close to Cavtat, where there is a great selection of restaurants and a lovely waterfront. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was very good, with plenty of choice, and the Spinnaker restaurant on the waterfront was excellent. All of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. One thing to be aware of is that the hotel is set above Cavtat, with a fairly steep hill and a number of steps between the town and the hotel. This wasn’t a problem for us, but it may not be ideal for anyone with limited mobility. The only minor negative was that the air conditioning in our room was a little noisy, particularly at night. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily recommend Hotel Croatia for its beautiful setting, excellent facilities, friendly staff and proximity to Cavtat.”

“Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but this hotel did not feel like a true 5-star resort. The biggest positives were the beautiful surroundings, the stunning views over the village of Cavtat, and our spacious, well-appointed room. The breakfast was also excellent, with a good variety of options. Unfortunately, the service was inconsistent. Many of the local staff members rarely smiled, seldom greeted guests, and often didn't step aside when guests were walking through the property. In contrast, every single Filipino staff member we met was exceptional—friendly, smiling, professional, and always willing to help. They truly made a positive impression. We also noticed they seemed to be working every single day, which made us wonder whether they get adequate time off. Dinner was the biggest disappointment. If you're a picky eater, your choices are quite limited. Compared to breakfast, the evening buffet lacked variety and quality. Even with dinner, the only complimentary drink available was tap water, which felt rather underwhelming for a hotel of this category. In summary, we enjoyed our stay thanks to the beautiful location and the amazing Filipino staff, but the overall service, dining experience, and attention to detail fell well short of what we would expect from a 5-star resort. Oh, and I recommend to bring own pillow, those were very very bad”

“This was our second time staying at the hotel over 3 years. The hotel was fantastic then and still is now. We used more of the on site amenities this time due to having our toddler with us. Which brings me into the children’s play room area , The lady called Anne who runs the play area was very welcoming and friendly to us and was amazing with our toddler. The area itself was great for our toddler and had loads of toys for her to play with and to keep her entertained. Which was freely to use at any time of the day.”

“I went to this hotel in the summer, i liked it because it has fun activities. The pools are great because they are big and pretty warm. Many of the rooms have a nice view and they are pretty clean and nice. The service is good because they are nice and respectful. The location is great because its near the airport so no need to drive for over an hour, its just a 10 minute drive. The gym could have better equipment and the spa room could use some renovation but overall the hotel is pretty good. Would i come again?… Yes.”

“Great holiday. Got a complimentary upgrade to sea view with a free bottle of champagne to celebrate our engagement. Lots of facilities and a useful golf cart transfer service to the town. Great spot to stay outside of the crazy busy Dubrovnik whilst being close enough to enjoy all that Dubrovnik offers. Only €15 uber from airport”
