“We visited El Fenn Rooftop bar tonight and absolutely loved everything about it. Beautiful decor and fantastic service by a gentleman called Idris. Idris looked after us so well and was happy to accommodate all my requests (I am fussy with my drinks and food). We ordered the lamb shank and the chicken dish from the restaurant menu. I only tried the lamb shank and it was the best I’ve ever had. We asked for it to be a bit spicy and it was the right amount spice. The mocktails were really good too and the grand finale was the chocolate fondant! It was so delicious and everything a chocolate fondant is meant to be, soft, gooey and rich. Would love to go back and highly recommend it.”

“El Fenn has been one of the highlights of our entire trip to Marrakech, and without question one of my favourite places we’ve visited. We started on the rooftop with cocktails overlooking the breathtaking Koutoubia Mosque. The setting is absolutely beautiful. Chic, stylish and luxurious, yet completely relaxed. It felt like an oasis above the busy streets below. Visiting at this time of year meant it was wonderfully quiet, which made it even more special. We spent a couple of hours simply soaking up the atmosphere, and honestly, I could have stayed there all afternoon. Afterwards we went downstairs for lunch and that was the moment I knew I’d be booking El Fenn for our next visit to Marrakech. On our waiter’s recommendation, we chose the Moroccan tasting menu, and it was one of the best decisions we made all holiday. Every course was beautifully prepared and full of flavour. We tried dishes we would never normally have ordered, and every one of them was delicious. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the sweet carrots or the saffron cauliflower. They were absolutely incredible. What I loved most about El Fenn was how it made us feel. After spending the morning exploring the souks, it was exactly what we needed. Calm, peaceful and effortlessly elegant. It truly feels like a hidden sanctuary in the heart of Marrakech. There are some places that are all hype, but El Fenn isn’t one of them. It completely lives up to its incredible reputation. We arrived expecting a lovely lunch and a few cocktails. We left planning our next trip to Marrakech around staying here. I honestly can’t wait to come back.”

“We took a short walk from our riad, in the heart of the Medina, and came to dine at this riad with a group of friends. The rooftop was definitely an excellent choice. The decor is beautiful, in a local style, warm and colorful. The staff was very friendly. The portions were generous, all typical Moroccan dishes, spicy yet delicate. Vegetable-only dishes, chicken, beef, lamb, and fish dishes. All paired with good Moroccan wines. The view, the starry sky, and a magnificent full moon created the perfect romantic evening for us all.”
